About Zaidee Bliss

Zaidee Bliss

Zaidee Bliss got her certification in holistic health from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2003 and is a certified yoga teacher and community mediator. Her understanding of food and how it affects people's health and moods started while she was working in an educational center in New York City. She realized that she was exhausted and cranky by three in the afternoon and had to have a candy bar and a big cup of coffee to get through the rest of the day without falling asleep or yelling at someone. Realizing that this was an unpleasant and fattening way to live she began to experiment with what she ate throughout the day. That's when Zaidee realized she wasn't a mean, negative, tired, forgetful person- her blood sugar was just out of whack and she wasn't getting a full night's sleep from all the coffee she was drinking.

That's when Zaidee decided to make some real changes in her life. Not only did she start eating better and taking yoga, she also began working in a non-profit organization teaching communication and mediation skills to teens, teachers and parents. She discovered that she could find peace within herself by eating foods that stabilized her blood sugar, practicing yoga regularly and trying to find ways to communicate that promoted discussion rather than fights. She wants to help other people find peace within themselves by passing on what she has learned.
